Orange Pi 5 Camera Compatibility (IMX219, IMX708, IMX519)

Buy the Orange Pi 5 Camera Adapter

The live SKU is the Orange Pi 5 family only. Everything below is what we have actually put on the bench — if it is not listed as tested, we are not claiming it.

Status key

  • Tested — bench-verified by us.
  • Unconfirmed — wiring is correct; driver/overlay support is up to your OS. Not tested.
  • Electrical — the connector wiring matches and the sensor should work, but we haven’t bench-tested it yet.
  • Broken — known not to work on this OS.

Boards

  • Supported: Orange Pi 5, 5B, 5 Plus, 5 Max and 5 Pro.
  • Not yet checked: Orange Pi 5 Ultra, AI Pro, RV2, 4A and 6-series. We’ll list these once they’re bench-checked.

Cameras

Joshua Riek Ubuntu is our recommended OS for the setup guide; Armbian also works, and current Armbian images include native IMX708 driver support.

Rock 5 — coming soon

  • 22-pin Raspberry Pi 5 pinout.
  • I2C level shift.
  • Customer brings the camera cable.
  • Not a 15-pin jack. Not a Radxa FPC.
  • Official Radxa path remains OV5647 / IMX219 only until a board is on the bench.
